Lets kick it off here with this beautiful engagement shoot down in Buckinghamshire.
On the 18th July I headed right down south to Steeple Claydon in Buckinghamshire to the beautiful National Trust – ‘Claydon House’. It reminded me a little of Leonie & Stewart’s wedding venue Rudding Park, Harrogate.
Here I met Amie Allen & Gareth Rae. They are a wonderful couple who provided just as much laughter for me as I did for them. They are set to get married here at Claydon House April 7th 2012. So why I here you ask did we do an engagement shoot 9 months before the wedding…..
Amie is a primary school teacher and up until 2 years ago was like a lot of others in the UK. However, a fantastic opportunity came up for her to move to a new school to enrich some new children’s lives…..in INDONESIA!

So this week was the only week they were back here in England until the week before their wedding.

So what their story? Well as I mentioned Amie is a primary school teacher who was brought up in the village of Steeple Claydon right around the corner from Claydon House.

Gareth lived over in Hong Kong which is where he grew up before moving over to England. They both studied at Lougborough University which is where they met. They became very good friends through their academic years but became closer after leaving, which brings them to where they are today!

They have been together for just over 5 years now and I had to ask how did the move to Indonesia come about? As I explained further up this came about due to Amie’s job opportunity however it is somewhere they had wanted to move to for quite a while. Ideally Amie said that they would’ve liked to wait another year or so before they went, but she couldn’t pass up the chance of her role in a school over there. So that’s where they spend their time together now, Amie is teching whilst Gareth works in the shipping industry.

Anyway on with the photographs I here you say…. We begun by exploring the grounds and we quickly came across the church that they will be getting married in. It has the best interior I have ever seen and is really dainty and clearly old church.
