If you grew up in Bath (or the surrounding Somerset and Wiltshire areas) – chances are you went on a school trip to The Roman Baths. So being asked by Andy and Sian to be their Roman Baths wedding photographers offered a big dose of nostalgia.

We kicked off this late May wedding by joining Sian for bridal prep at The Gainsborough Bath Spa Hotel, overlooking the Thermae Bath Spa. It wasn’t long before Sian and bridesmaid Karen were dressed to impress and ready to go.

This is where having two wedding photographers really pays off, as we can be in two places at once. Whilst Chris accompanied Sian, her Dad and Karen around the cobbled streets for some pre-wedding photos, Hazel was already at The Roman Baths snapping away as guests arrived.

As sunset approached – it was time for the ceremony. The happy couple exchanged vows waterside as their guests looked on (including grandparents who dialled in on FaceTime for the occasion). This was followed by a drinks reception around the Great Bath, then onto the wedding breakfast on the Terrace and into the evening do.

It’s easy to see why Andy and Sian fell in love with The Roman Baths for their Bath city centre wedding. Unconventional and intimate – this is a venue packed full of personality. Couples can choose to get married at either sunrise or sunset and have the run of the place for a few hours. This works perfectly with our half-day wedding package (up to 4-hours of coverage).
